James Rankin of JRP/James Rankin Photography (formerly TriathlonPics.com ), has been shooting the sport of triathlon and supplying both printed and electronic media for the past 6 years. A commercial photographer with a personal interest in triathlon brought him into the sport.

After two seasons of web-based image sales to athletes, James saw a need to provide better services to both the athlete and the sport.

Francis Kay of Marathon-Photos.com, based in Hamilton New Zealand, has been photographing marathons and running events for the past four years.

Marathon-Photos have covered events in all corners of the globe, from Norway to southern New Zealand, London, Tibet, China, Poland, Rotterdam, Gold Coast and many more in between.

Francis and his team have developed an impressive athlete notification and image recovery system that makes the search for photos by athletes, families or media an absolute breeze.

Both JRP and Marathon-Photos have seen the potential in each other's professionalism and quality, and have decided to explore the possibilities for a better service to triathlons.
